According to data compiled by the General Administration of Customs, my country's construction machinery import and export trade volume in 2023 will be US$51.063 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.57%.
Among them, construction machinery exports continued to grow, while imports showed a narrowing trend of decline. In 2023, my country's construction machinery product exports will reach US$48.552 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.59%. The import value was US$2.511 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 8.03%, and the cumulative import value narrowed from a year-on-year decrease of 19.8% to 8.03% at the end of the year. The trade surplus was US$46.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of US$4.468 billion.
In terms of export categories, exports of complete machines are better than exports of parts and components. In 2023, the cumulative export of complete machines was US$34.134 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%, accounting for 70.3% of total exports; the export of parts and components was US$14.417 billion, accounting for 29.7% of total exports, a year-on-year decrease of 3.81%. The growth rate of complete machine exports was 20.26 percentage points higher than the growth rate of parts and components exports.
